As a family law attorney, Mike Kaufman, has extensive experience reaching a resolution to family law matters in and out of the court room since 1993. “I am able to adapt to the situation at hand. If opposing counsel and/or spouse are being reasonable then we will settle the matter in a dignified and respectful manner outside of court. Should the opposition be unreasonable then we will seek fairness through the judicial system. Without a doubt, the type of attorney you choose is one of the largest determining factors of how your family law matter will proceed. By choosing a difficult attorney you, and your family, are more likely to have a difficult experience.”

There are times when an adversarial and contentious divorce is unavoidable, but this can be the exception. Mr. Kaufman has significant ability and expertise litigating court cases since 1993. However, his years of experience has also taught him that it takes much more skill and talent as an attorney to successfully reach a fair and equitable resolution to a family law matter outside of the court room rather than inside one.

“I have seen the good, the ugly, and the uglier. It is my overwhelming experience that those cases which are litigated through Domestic Relations (Divorce) or Juvenile Court are counter-productive to the FAMILY UNIT. Litigants may not be husband and wife for much longer, but they will always be Mom and Dad and Grandma and Grandpa after that.”

Families, and especially the children, deserve a respectful and non-destructive division of their family. Mr. Kaufman does not care what the situation, division of the family does not have to be ugly or cause collateral damage to the children! It is possible to offer families a more dignified and respectful termination of their marriage. Most of the time, a healthy parting of the ways between two unhappy spouses will lead to a healthier family unit; this is my ultimate professional goal!

Mr. Kaufman can provide multiple legal services depending upon your needs, litigation representation, Collaborative Law representation, mediator, arbitrator and Guardian Ad services. He practices family law in Hamilton, Clermont, Warren and Butler Counties, Ohio.
